Turn on push notifications and choose their types

Allow alerts on this device and choose which types are worth interrupting you.

Push notifications tell you things even when the portal is closed. They are turned on for each device separately, then you choose which types are worth pushing an alert. In-app notifications still arrive in your bell even when push is off, so nothing is lost from the record.

Steps

  1. Open Account and go to the Notifications tab.
  2. Press Enable on this device and allow notifications when the browser asks.
  3. Choose the types you want. The options are Bookings for approvals and cancellations, Payments for payment proofs, Add-ons for add-on request status, and Deposit refunds for deposit refund requests.
  4. To stop on that device only, press Disable on this device.
  5. Open the Notifications screen to read them all. It has All, Unread, Action and Archived tabs, a mark all as read button, and search.
  6. Archive the ones that are done so the active list stays short. Archived notifications can be restored.

On iPhone

iPhone browsers only allow push after this site has been added to the home screen. If the button says your browser does not support push, add it first and then try again.

What it does not do

There are no email notifications and no SMS notifications for operators. There are no quiet hours, no daily digest and no sound options. Type settings are shared by your account, but push permission must be granted again on each device and browser. If the browser has already blocked notifications, the portal cannot unblock them and you need to allow them in that browser's own site settings. Operations task notifications have no type switch of their own here.
