Set booking automation for a unit
Turn on auto approve, automatic lock codes and WhatsApp messages for each listing, then check the log.
The Automation screen keeps three rules for each listing: auto approve bookings, generate smart lock codes automatically, and send WhatsApp messages to guests. These rules run when a booking's status changes, and every decision is recorded in the automation log further down the same screen.
Steps
- Open Automation. If you have more than one active listing, choose the unit to set up from the list at the top.
- Turn on Auto-approve bookings if you want new bookings approved straight away when there is no date overlap and the minimum nights condition is met.
- Set Minimum nights for auto-approve. Bookings shorter than this number are held for manual review.
- Turn on Auto-generate smart lock code to generate a TTLock door code and attach it to the booking when payment is confirmed.
- Turn on Send WhatsApp messages for confirmations, access codes and check out reminders. This needs a platform admin to set up the WhatsApp Business API first.
- Press Save rules, then check the Automation log section to see what succeeded and what was skipped.
Reading the log
The log explains why a step was skipped, for example because auto approve is off, the number of nights is too low, dates overlap, there is no phone number, no lock is registered or TTLock is not connected yet.
What it does not do
Automation never changes prices, does not cancel bookings and does not give discounts. Smart locks support TTLock only, no other brands. Rules are set one unit at a time, so there is no bulk setting for all listings at once. The log only keeps the 30 most recent events on this screen, cannot be filtered and has no retry button for failed events. There are no custom if-this-then-that rules, and no different rules by booking channel.
