Write stay guides for guests

The Stay guides page keeps step-by-step instructions that guests follow during their stay, for example check in, check out, collecting parcels, Wi-Fi and house rules. A guide is written once, then attached to as many units as you want. Each step can carry one photo and one video link.

Steps

1. Open Guides, then press Add guide.
2. Choose a ready-made guide from the ready made list, or write your own title and choose its type.
3. In the editor, start with the Units that show this guide field and choose the relevant units.
4. Fill in the title, a one-line summary, and the guide type.
5. Press Add step for each thing the guest needs to do. Write the step title and its description.
6. Use the Up and Down buttons to order the steps, and Remove to delete a step.
7. Add a step photo or paste a video link if needed.
8. Tick Show this guide to guests when it is ready, then save.

Why units are chosen first

Step photos are uploaded to the storage of the first unit attached to the guide. Until the guide is attached to a unit, the photo field tells you to choose a unit first and uploading is not available.

What it does not do

• Videos can only be played in the app if the link is from YouTube or Vimeo. Other links are marked as not playable.
• A step carries only one photo and one video link. There is no gallery within a step.
• There are no separate language versions. A guide is stored only in the language you write it in.
• There is no scheduling. A guide is either shown to guests or hidden, with no start or end date.
• Steps without a title will not be saved.
• Deleting a guide stops it being shown to guests immediately and cannot be undone from this screen.
• Staff without full permissions do not see the add guide button.
