Turn on online payments with Billplz or CHIP

Online payments in UrusPro run through Billplz or CHIP, both of which cover FPX and cards. You choose one, enter the keys from your own account, and the money goes straight into your merchant account. Test in Sandbox mode first, then switch to Live.

Choose a gateway

An organisation runs one active gateway at a time. If you manage several brands, each organisation keeps its own settings and can choose a different gateway.

If you choose Billplz

1. Open Payments and choose the Online gateway tab, then choose Billplz.
2. From the Billplz dashboard, get the API Secret Key under Settings, Account Settings, and the X-Signature Key under Settings, X Signature. Turn on X Signature first so the key appears.
3. Create a Collection in Billplz and copy the Collection ID.
4. Paste all three values, choose Sandbox mode, turn on Enable online payment, then save.

If you choose CHIP

1. Choose CHIP on the same tab.
2. From the CHIP portal, get the Secret Key under Developers, API Keys, and the Brand ID under Developers, Brands. The Public Key is also shown under Developers.
3. Paste the Brand ID, Secret Key and Public Key, choose Sandbox mode, turn on Enable online payment, then save.
4. Note: Test and Live use different Secret Keys, so the key must be changed when you switch to Live.

Confirm before going Live

1. Make a test booking in Sandbox. When it goes through, change the mode to Live and save again.

Billing rules on the same tab

• Rent due day between 1 and 28, so that the day exists in every month.
• Grace days, which is how many days after the due date before rent counts as overdue.
• Prorate the first month for tenants who move in mid-month. The balance moves to the final month, and the total for the term does not change.
• Gateway fee can be absorbed by the operator or added to the tenant's bill, as one flat RM rate per bill.

What it does not do

It does not read your bank statements. Bank transfers, DuitNow QR and cash are still recorded manually, with no automatic matching. Saved keys cannot be viewed again, only overwritten. Leave the key fields empty if you want to keep the old keys. The system also does not open a Billplz account for you and does not check whether that account has passed verification on Billplz's side.
