Manage cleaning and maintenance tasks
Open the Operations board, open tasks, mark them done and assign them to the right person.
The Operations screen holds all cleaning and maintenance work for your active organisation. Tasks are arranged on a three-column board, Pending, In progress and Done, with type and status filters above it. Each row shows the unit, due time and an Overdue tag once the due time has passed.
Steps
- Open Operations and make sure the right organisation is selected. This board always follows the active organisation in the top bar.
- Use the All kinds and All statuses filters to narrow the view to Cleaning or Maintenance only, or to one status.
- Press New task for a new task. Choose the unit, type, title, description and due time. A new task copies the default checklist for that type if there is one.
- Press any row to open the details panel. There you tick checklist items, write internal notes and change the status with Start or Mark done.
- To reassign, use the Assign to option in the panel. The person chosen receives a task notification in the app.
- A task that is no longer happening can be marked Cancel task. It leaves the active board but stays in the records and can be reopened.
Tasks inside a booking
Booking details have the same Tasks panel. A task appears for each check in and check out, including stays imported from Airbnb or Booking.com, and you can add Cleaning or Maintenance tasks directly from there.
What it does not do
There is no automatic crew scheduling. The system does not arrange who works on which day, and does not send WhatsApp or SMS messages to cleaners. Only organisation admins can create or assign tasks, and the only roles are admin, staff and vendor, with no custom roles. Tasks come in only two types, Cleaning and Maintenance, so there are no custom categories. A task cannot be marked Done while any required checklist item is still unticked. The board only reads the 200 most recent tasks for each filter, and deleted tasks disappear for good along with their checklists, with no way to restore them.
