What is Shared room?
Also known as Bilik kongsi
A shared room is a room let by the bed, where several tenants or guests who do not know each other live in the same room. Each bed has its own rent, deposit and term, while the kitchen, bathroom and living room are shared by everyone in the house.
Because each bed is a separate tenancy, vacancy is counted by bed, not by room. The house's utility bills are usually split between occupants under the rules stated in the agreement.
