Airbnb with UrusPro
UrusPro and Airbnb connect through iCal calendar links. You paste the Airbnb link for each unit, and nights booked on Airbnb close on the UrusPro calendar and booking site. The Airbnb host fee is deducted from the value of those nights in reports, and Airbnb guests can be given an account to see check-in instructions.
What syncs
- Nights booked on Airbnb are imported into the unit calendar as soon as the link is added.
- Active feeds are pulled again every 15 minutes, and the Sync button pulls them straight away.
- Airbnb nights close on the guest calendar and are blocked in the booking flow, and the database rejects overlapping bookings, naming Airbnb.
- Bookings cancelled on Airbnb are removed from the calendar on the next sync.
- Links from Airbnb are recognised automatically as the Airbnb channel, so their nights are reported by channel.
- The 15.5% Airbnb host fee is deducted from the value of nights in reports, with other rates settable for the organisation or for each listing.
- Airbnb guests can be given a UrusPro account to see their booking, check-in instructions and smart lock code, with the payout you receive recorded as income.
How to connect Airbnb with UrusPro
On Airbnb, copy the calendar export link (.ics) for the listing you want to sync.
In the UrusPro host portal, open Listing, choose that unit, and go to the Calendar sync section.
Under Add iCal feed, type a source name such as Airbnb, paste the link, and press Add the feed. UrusPro pulls its dates straight away and tells you how many nights were found.
Check that feed's row: the number of events, when it last synced, and an error if the link failed.
Under What each channel keeps here, change the Airbnb rate for that listing if it is still on the old fee plan.
On the day the Airbnb guest checks in, open that external booking from the schedule on Home, fill in the guest's phone number, press Create account, and send the activation link through WhatsApp.
Where it stops
- iCal carries dates only. Guest names, prices and payments do not come in, so the amount received has to be filled in yourself.
- Upcoming bookings made in UrusPro are not yet sent to the Airbnb calendar, so close those dates on Airbnb yourself for now.
- Prices, photos and listing descriptions are not pushed to Airbnb, and messages in the Airbnb inbox are not read by UrusPro.
- Airbnb guest accounts are created from the Home schedule on the check-in or check-out day only, and the door code for that booking is generated by you on the booking.

Frequently asked questions about Airbnb
- Can UrusPro sync with Airbnb?
- Yes, for dates. The Airbnb iCal link is imported into the UrusPro calendar and closes those nights to further bookings. It is not an API connection, so prices, guest names and messages stay on Airbnb.
- How fast do Airbnb bookings appear in UrusPro?
- As soon as the link is added, UrusPro pulls it straight away. After that, active feeds are pulled again every 15 minutes, and you can press Sync at any time to pull now.
- Are Airbnb fees accounted for in reports?
- Yes. The default Airbnb rate is 15.5% of the subtotal, the host-only fee. If your listing is still on the 3% split fee, change the rate for that listing.
- Can Airbnb guests get a door code through UrusPro?
- Yes. Create a guest account for that external booking, generate a code on the booking, and the guest sees the code and its validity period after activating the account.
- Is UrusPro an official Airbnb partner?
- This page does not claim partner status. UrusPro uses the iCal link Airbnb provides to every host, not a partner API.
